PH Lavalleja, by CCPM Arquitectos in Buenos Aires

The office CCPM Arquitectos founded in Buenos Aires by Constanza Chiozza and Pedro Magnasco has delivered its first project, PH Lavalleja. It is the extension of a house in Buenos Aires. PH is the name give to traditional houses in Buenos Aires, a city characterized by its high density and low rise buildings. PH Lavalleja fits in the typology of the low rise, but is located in a high rise neighborhood.

For this extension, the architects have replaced the roof with a continuous envelope, generated by the peripheral constraints as well as the rythm of the existing structure. The interior is made of a repetitive system of wooden surfaces and furniture.
