Office Atelier Zündel Cristea recently delivered the Binet business incubator (Hôtel d’entreprises Binet), located in Paris 18^th arrondissement. Commissioned by social developer RIVP, this business incubator will host offices and workshops at the service of developing companies. Organized in a functional way, the building was conceived to adapt to perpetually evolving uses and needs.

The Binet business incubator building is located in the North-West area of Paris, near the Porte de Montmartre. It is part of the French capital’s urban regeneration project (Grand Projet de Rénovation Urbaine – GPRU), aiming to reshape the urban fabric and diversify the offer of the district with housing, public spaces, offices and educational facilities.

Commissioned by social developer RIVP and the City of Paris, the building is composed of seven floors housing 59 business premises with common areas, a conference room, a cafeteria and an underground parking lot of 33 places. On the ground floor, a multi-purpose room is available. The Binet business incubator can accommodate small and medium sized business structures, requiring  50 to 150 square metres premises.

The building is composed by three simple and orthogonal volumes of different heights, crowned by green rooftop terraces. The structure is the central element of the project, it is made of visible concrete pillars and beams allowing the creation of large spaces, adjustable according to the needs of use. This composition organises the buildings facades, also allowing the installation of large windows to largely illuminate the workspaces.
