In 2024, the Parisian agency Gaëtan le Penhuel Architectes&Associés completed the Casa Bendico, a single-storey house among the hills of the Val di Noto in south-east Sicily. The house The house is equipped with technical and construction features – a reinforced concrete shell, air and water circulation systems – that keeps the temperature cool throughout the summer, in this seismic region where temperatures often exceed 40°C. With its design inspired by the neighbouring local farmhouses, Casa Bendico blends seamlessly into the local landscape.
