Fantoni & KPMG: focus on EQHO Tower in Paris
In 2015, Fantoni completed a project for the Parisian headquarters of KPMG, located in La Défense business district. This wide-ranging project involved a close-knit partnership between Colliers space planning studio and Fantoni Research Centre, for the creation of custom-made products to meet the needs of almost 3000 people. The project included the supply and installation of 22 floors at the Parisian headquarters of KPMG, for a total of 2600 workstations, from clerical and executive offices to meeting rooms and call centres. High levels of consistency were seen throughout the project, despite the unique aspects of the different work places. The most interesting aspect was that of the acoustics: with mainly open spaces, fully customized solutions were developed, supplementing the furniture with 4akustik sound-absorbent panels. The dynamics of the development of the project and the timing were also interesting as the whole project was done in less than a year, from the presentation of the project in August 2014 until the supply and installation in July 2015. Two further floors are in the pipeline.General contractor: Design & Build; Space planner: Colliers International

A few words about Fantoni.
The Fantoni Group, founded by Achille Fantoni in 1882, is a leading manufacturer of office furniture, partition and storage wall systems, MDF (medium density fibreboard) and chipboard panels, melamine flooring and sound-deadening panels. All phases of the production process are performed by the network of companies which make up the Group and work in synergy to develop the product: from the production of materials and semi-finished products to the design of innovative office furnishing systems, inspired by the most up-to-date principles of well-being and design. Made up of seven companies – Fantoni Spa, La Con Spa, Lesonit (Slovenia), Novolegno Spa, Patt Spa, Spik Iverica (Serbia), Xilopack Srl – the Group produces its own resins, impregnates papers for facing its own panel products and, with its hydro-electric power and cogeneration plants, produces a large part of its own energy needs.
The Fantoni Group has become a reference point for ideas in its sector, due to the intense activity of its Research Centre: workshops, conferences and publications are examples of a commitment that makes it a nerve centre of experimentation and research.
Since 1882, architecture, research and total design have been the guiding principles for company growth and for the development of products that are ever more innovative and dedicated to the well-being of people.
