Ceramic at Flos with Ronan Bouroullec
While Italian lighting manufacturer Flos is closely linked to the know-how of its home country, ceramics had not yet been studied by the company. With the Céramique lamps designed by Ronan Bouroullec, this is now a done deal.
Céramique is the new lighting collection designed by Ronan Bouroullec for Flos, featuring three table lamps entirely realized in ceramics. The lead-free crystalline lacquer finish applied to the pieces reveals and enhances the special character of their hand-crafted manufacture.
Formally, the Céramique lamp is made up of a single ceramic piece that forms a base, a stem and a cap ; and the three models in the collection differ in the position of the cap: three configurations for 3 different types of lighting.
Each of these configurations responds to a very specific need: a downwardly inclined shade creates a focused light, ideal for reading or working at a table; a perpendicularly positioned shade provides a clean light, to illuminate a wall or a corner; a diffuser turned towards the ceiling creates indirect ambient lighting, for a soft, comfortable light.
Céramique is available in a color palette of Moss Green, Navy Blue and Rust Red.
