Focus : AAVP

Today AA highlights the work of Parisian architecture office AAVP (Atelier d’Architecture Vincent Parreira), created in 2000 by Vincent Parreira. Winner of several competitions among others, Réinventer Paris, on the site of Poterne des Peupliers in 2016, and in February 2018, a hotel and a congress center for Europacity– the office has been particularly remarked this year for the rehabilitation of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine lobby in Paris. AA presents you today with a series of images this project, as well as the educational and cultural center SEU, delivered in 2013 in Saint-Eulalie, France.

Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine new lobby – Paris:

Delivered in April 2018, the renewal project of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine lobby aims to give a clear orientation to visitors, while magnifying and highlighting the existing elements. Particular attention has been paid to materials, such as gold leaf, to lighting effects and to furniture creation, such as the  “digital triptychs” on which visitors read various information.

SEU educational and cultural center – Saint-Eulalie (33):

The educational and cultural center SEU, located in Saint-Eulalie in the region of Gironde, France, has been delivered in 2014. The building brings together in one set a kindergarten and a primary school of 15 classrooms, a recreational centre, and a House of Arts. Inspired by the regional model of large agricultural and bourgeois buildings, the project is composed by three volumes turning around a new public space.
