Dorte Mandrup and Tosin Oshinowo, Women In Architecture
Following the success of the first chapter, broadcast in 2022, the second part of the Women In Architecture documentary series follows the professional and personal lives of Danish architect Dorte Mandrup and Nigerian architect Tosin Oshinowo. The documentary series paints a portrait of two internationally renowned architects, both founders of their respective agencies, through an account of their backgrounds and careers. They talk about their creative processes and personal philosophies. Initiated by Sky-frame in collaboration with ArchDaily and directed by Boris Noir, Women In Architecture aims to raise awareness and give a voice to women in architecture.

Dorte Mandrup founded her agency Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter A/S in Copenhagen in 1999. From Greenland to the shores of the Norwegian fjords, via the wild coasts of the North Sea, the agency carries out projects in the coldest regions of Europe. Dorte Mandrup’s work brings new value to irreplaceable places, with a particular emphasis on establishing a dialogue between architecture and its context. In January 2022, AA featured her in its ‘Architecture goes wild’ issue.
Nigerian architect and designer Tosin Oshinowo founded her agency cmDesign+Atelier in Lagos, which became Oshinowo Studio in 2013. A committed architect, Tosin Oshinowo is internationally renowned for her large-scale humanitarian projects. In 2023, she curated the Sharjah Architecture Triennial.
